Virtual Concert FAQ

How can I watch the concerts?

2-3 days prior to each concert, we will email all ticket buyers and subscribers the concert link. The link will remain up for 7 days after the original streaming date.

The concerts will be streamed via Vimeo, which is a video viewing platform similar to YouTube. You can view the concerts on any device hooked up to the internet, though Vimeo is not currently available via Roku.

When will I receive the concert link and password?

If you have purchased your tickets more than a week in advance of the concert, you will receive an email with the link and password for the concert stream 2-3 days prior to the program date.

If you purchase your tickets in the 2 days leading up to the concert, continue to check your inbox for the email containing the link and password– we will be sending out emails with concert details twice daily. Our box office is not automated, and though we work to process ticket orders as quickly as possible, it is not immediate.

If you have not received an email from us by 5pm the day of the concert, please email us at office@dumbartonconcerts.org, and we will pass along the details as quickly as possible.
Please do not call or email us unless it is two hours before the concert and you have not received the link.

Do I need to push “Play” or will the video start automatically?

Our virtual doors will open 5 minutes before the concert stream begins. Click on the link provided via email, and then type in the password you were given.

When watching the livestream of the concert, you will not need to push “play”- the concert will start automatically. Enjoy!

If you are watching the concert during the 7-day period following the livestream, you will need to push “play” to start the concert.

Note: when you watch the concert after the original date, you are watching a recorded version of the livestream. This means that there will be a few minutes at the beginning of the video when all you can see is a frozen intro screen without sound. Either fast forward or wait a few moments for the concert video to begin.

Help! the link you emailed me isn’t working!

Some email software disables and even changes links that are sent in an email from an unrecognized source. If the link in your email is not opening, try copying it and pasting it into your browser. If that doesn’t work, you may need to type in the exact URL into your browser.

What is the password to watch the concerts?

OR what if the site tells me the password is incorrect!?

You will find the password on the “admission ticket” you were sent via email. The password is on the left side of the ticket.

Make certain that you type it in exactly as it appears on the ticket with regard to capitalization and spaces between words! For example DUMBARTONconcerts is a very different password than DumbartonConcerts.

No! All you need is a reliable internet connection and a computer, laptop, mobile phone, or smart tv. For more information about necessary equipment and set-up, keep reading the answers below.

Do I need to download any software or create an account to watch the concerts?

What is the meet the artist event?

Following each concert, we will host a Meet the Artist event. It will take place immediately after the concert at the same link- just stay tune!

During this event, the audience will have a chance to get to know the musicians they just heard perform and can ask the musicians questions via the chat function in Vimeo.

How can I ensure the best sound quality?

The quality of your viewing experience is largely dependent on your internet service provider. Please keep in mind that your internet speed can vary depending on many factors, including but not limited to: time of day, WiFi performance, other devices/ users utilizing your connection, and the strength of the signal provided by your ISP. For best results, try turning the WiFi off of all devices other than the one on which you will view the concert.

Yes! It is possible to watch on your TV if you have the necessary equipment. You can either connect your chosen device directly to your TV setup, or you can cast or mirror to your TV.

Please note: Dumbarton Concerts cannot provide technical support for connecting your devices or for casting/mirroring.
