Q: Where can I park?
A: We provide parking vouchers for the parking garage located at 1092 Wisconsin Avenue, just south of M Street. Valet parking from the steps of Dumbarton Methodist Church is also available for $20. Please visit our location and parking page for more information.
Q: What time can I take my seat?
A: The house opens at 7:30 before an 8:00 performance and at 3:30 before a 4:00 matinee. Our Café and Gallery open at 6:00 for an evening performance and at 3:30 for a matinee.
Q: Are you located on the Dumbarton Oaks property?
A: There are a number of locations in Georgetown that share the Dumbarton name. We are not on the Dumbarton Oaks property. We are located at Dumbarton United Methodist Church.
Q: Do I qualify for a senior or student ticket?
Seniors must be 65 or older. Students must be full time students.
Q: How do I receive my tickets?
A: When ordering your tickets, you can choose either to have your ticket mailed for an additional $1 charge per ticket, or have your tickets ready for you at Will Call. Members’ tickets are all mailed out in advance.
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: We do not have a dress code. Please come as you are!
Q: Are seats assigned?
A: No, we use general admission for our seats.
Q: Is there public transportation?
A: The closest Metro stops are either Dupont (red line) or Rosslyn (orange/blue/silver lines). The DC Circulator travels from both of these stops into Georgetown. The Circulator stops at Wisconsin and M St. For more information about the DC Circulator, visit http://www.dccirculator.com/.
Q: Is your venue wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, there is a ramp to the front doors of the building, and we have an elevator to take individuals to the sanctuary for the concerts. Please contact us (202-965-2000) in advance to notify us that you would like a member of staff to escort you to your seat.
Q: What time do the concerts end?
A: Our concerts end around 10:00 pm for an evening performance and around 6:00 pm for a matinee.
Q: Do you have an intermission?
A: We have a twenty minute intermission at every concert. Our older building has three bathrooms, and we allow enough time for patrons to use the facilities before the second half of the concert begins.
Q: Is there a student discount?
A: Yes, student tickets are $30, but we also reserve a minimum number of student rush tickets for even further discounted prices. Student rush tickets will be sold starting at 7:35 pm on a first come, first served basis.
Q: Where is the best place to sit?
A: The incredible acoustics of Dumbarton United Methodist Church’s sanctuary allow for every seat to be the best seat.
Q: Where is the best place to eat in the area prior to a concert?
A: Georgetown has many different restaurant options close to the church. Please see our Local Supporters page for our favorites.
Q: How is Dumbarton Concerts funded?
A: We are a non-profit organization funded through private individuals, grants, and ticket sales.
